A UK website about atypical Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome (aHUS)

NICE D DAY AND THE “CHANSON D’AUTOMNE”

NICE’s HST Evaluation Committee met to day to review further  evidence which may enable it to  decide on whether it is  now minded to recommend eculizumab for the treatment of aHUS in England.

The  NICE evaluation of eculizumab for aHUS is running about three months behind schedule, so an announcement about the result  may not now be made until sometime in the Autumn.

After this “D Day” let us hope that if there are to be any tears when we hear the final recommendation, that they  will be of relief and joy at last for those affected by aHUS both now and for those yet to come.
